General FAQs
No. Both our Hydrocolloid Pimple Patches and Microdart Spot Patches are cosmetic products. While they contain a gentle dose of less than 0.5% Salicylic Acid for cosmetic purposes, they are not intended to treat, prevent, or cure acne or any medical condition. The Hydrocolloid Pimple Patch offers targeted spot care by creating a water-resistant barrier over an active, visible blemish.
It means our products were officially tested in a study conducted by Advanced Science Laboratories, Inc. While this confirms the scope of our testing, it doesn’t mean the product is recommended by dermatologists, nor is it intended to treat acne or any other medical condition.
Yes! In a one-week clinical test, 23 women with clinically classified sensitive skin used the patch daily with zero adverse skin reactions observed. Because of this testing, our packaging carries the "Suitable for Sensitive Skin" statement. However, as with any skincare product, reactions can vary from person to person because everyone’s skin is unique. If any irritation occurs, stop using the patch.
CLERIVY does not currently make a vegan claim. We will only add a vegan label if and when an official, product-level certification is issued for our patches. If that happens, we will update this page!
The FDA does not actually approve cosmetic products before they are sold to the public. Because our Hydrocolloid Pimple Patches and Microdart Spot Patches are classified as cosmetic products, they are not "FDA approved," and we do not make any medical or drug claims about them.
CLERIVY is a Korean brand, and our patches are made in South Korea.
Choosing Your Patch
Choose the CLERIVY Microdart Spot Patch for those early bumps you can feel before they surface. It features a two-step cosmetic kit with 16 microdarts per patch. Once the spot has surfaced, switch to the Hydrocolloid Pimple Patch for a translucent, water-resistant cover.
The CLERIVY Hydrocolloid Pimple Patch is perfect for a surfaced blemish that you want to keep covered and protected. Every pack includes two sizes—10 mm and 12 mm—available in 30, 72, or 96 count options. Just leave it on for 4 to 8 hours, or until the patch turns opaque.
Think of them as two distinct solutions for two different stages of a spot. Hydrocolloid is a soft, gel-forming material that protects a surfaced blemish with a water-resistant barrier. Microdarts are tiny, dissolving points designed specifically for the early bumps you can feel under the skin. CLERIVY offers both so you can always match the patch to the stage of the spot.
While the terms are often used interchangeably for similar patch formats, we use the term CLERIVY Microdart Spot Patch. Each patch contains 16 microdarts and works as part of a two-step cosmetic kit specifically for early-stage blemishes.
Absolutely! They are designed for different stages, so they don’t compete with each other. Use the Microdart Spot Patch for early bumps you can feel, and the Hydrocolloid Pimple Patch for spots that have already surfaced. If you have both types of spots at once, simply use the format that matches each blemish.
CLERIVY Hydrocolloid Pimple Patch
Hydrocolloid is a soft, gel-forming material widely used in skincare products. Our CLERIVY Hydrocolloid Pimple Patch, made in Korea, sits gently over a visible blemish, acting as a thin, translucent cover that creates a protective, water-resistant barrier.
Every pack gives you two versatile sizes—10 mm and 12 mm—split evenly so you always have the right fit: Pack: 30 count · 10 mm: 15 · 12 mm: 15 · Total: 30 Pack: 72 count · 10 mm: 36 · 12 mm: 36 · Total: 72 Pack: 96 count · 10 mm: 48 · 12 mm: 48 · Total: 96
For best results, leave the patch on for 4 to 8 hours, or simply until it turns opaque.
Hydrocolloid naturally changes appearance as it interacts with moisture. When your CLERIVY patch turns opaque, it acts as a handy visual cue that it’s time for removal, working perfectly with the 4 to 8 hour wear time.
Gently peel the patch away from your skin, avoiding pulling it directly upward.
Our carefully selected ingredients are Polyisobutene, Cellulose Gum, Salicylic Acid, Phytosphingosine, Allantoin, Panthenol, and Niacinamide. Note: This product contains a dose of less than 0.5% Salicylic Acid for cosmetic purposes only. It is not intended to treat, prevent, or cure acne or any other medical condition.
Absolutely! Because the patch physically covers the spot, it helps keep your fingers away while you go about your day. Many people love wearing our patches as a gentle, protective reminder not to touch the spot.
CLERIVY Microdart Spot Patch
A microdart patch features ultra-fine, dissolving points on its surface to target spots at the source. Carefully made in Korea, the CLERIVY Microdart Spot Patch contains 16 microdarts per patch and works as a complete two-step cosmetic kit specifically designed for early-stage blemishes.
Every kit includes both our Microdart Spot Patches and Blemish Clearing Pads to give you a complete routine: Pack: 6 count · Patches: 6 · Clearing Pads: 6 Pack: 12 count · Patches: 12 · Clearing Pads: 12 Pack: 18 count · Patches: 18 · Clearing Pads: 12
The Blemish Clearing Pad is a convenient, single-use prep pad included in the kit and it serves as step one of the two-step routine. Simply wipe the target area with the pad to prep the skin, then apply the Microdart Spot Patch.
Each patch contains 16 microdarts.
Not at all! Once applied on the skin, the patch simply looks like a small, smooth, clear disc. Because the microdarts are on the skin-facing side of the patch, they are completely hidden from view.
The microdarts are extremely fine and pin-sized. Simply apply the patch following the directions printed on the package. If you ever feel continuing discomfort or irritation, please remove the patch.
No. The CLERIVY Microdart Spot Patch is a cosmetic product. While it is a two-step cosmetic kit designed to target early spots you can feel, it is not intended to treat, prevent, or cure acne or any other medical condition.
We recommend leaving the patch on for at least 2 hours to allow the microdarts to dissolve. For the best results, leave it overnight.
Using Your Patch
1. Peel the patch from the film and apply it directly over the blemish. 2. Leave it on for 4 to 8 hours, or until the patch turns opaque. 3. Gently peel the patch off along the skin and avoid pulling it directly upward.
• Step 1: Wipe the target area with the included Blemish Clearing Pad to prep the skin. • Step 2: Once your skin is dry, apply the Microdart Spot Patch directly onto the blemish and press down firmly for 10 seconds to secure it. • Step 3: Leave the patch on for at least 2 hours so the microdarts can fully dissolve. For the best results, leave it overnight.
For the best application, patches need to be applied to clean, dry skin. We recommend applying the patch before your makeup, and then simply applying your makeup around it.
We suggest applying the patch before your skincare routine, or waiting until your skincare has been completely absorbed. Patches hold best on perfectly dry skin, so avoid placing a patch directly over wet products or facial oils.
Our patches are designed for facial blemishes—like on your nose, chin, forehead, and cheeks. Apply to clean, dry skin and follow the caution guidance printed on the package. Last updated: August 20, 2026 · Written by the CLERIVY team based on on-pack information and product documentation.
