Hydrocolloid vs Microdart: Which Patch Do I Need?
Use microdarts for the early bump you can feel. Use hydrocolloid coverage for the surfaced spot you can see. CLERIVY makes both: a two-step Microdart Spot Patch kit with 16 microdarts per patch, and a translucent Hydrocolloid Pimple Patch in 10 mm and 12 mm sizes. Don't apply either patch to open or damaged skin.
The right patch depends on what the spot looks and feels like right now. Start with the stage, then pick the format. The real question isn't which patch is better. It's when you use each one.
What Stage Is Your Blemish In?
Still Under the Skin? Microdart.
Go with the CLERIVY Microdart Spot Patch for an early bump you can feel before it surfaces. It's a two-step cosmetic kit with 16 microdarts per patch, worn for at least 2 hours. We recommend overnight.
Already Surfaced? Hydrocolloid.
A translucent hydrocolloid patch covers the surfaced spot and creates a water-resistant barrier. Wear it for 4 to 8 hours, or until the patch turns opaque. Every pack comes with two sizes, 10 mm and 12 mm.
Microdart or Microneedle? Same Format.
The two terms get used for similar patch formats. CLERIVY calls ours the Microdart Spot Patch. Each patch contains 16 microdarts and comes as part of a two-step cosmetic kit for early-stage blemishes.

Choosing a Patch: Common Questions
When Should I Use a Hydrocolloid Patch?
Use the CLERIVY Hydrocolloid Pimple Patch on a surfaced blemish you want to keep covered. Every pack includes both sizes, 10 mm and 12 mm, in 30, 72, or 96 count. Leave it on for 4 to 8 hours, or until the patch turns opaque.
What Is the Difference Between Hydrocolloid and Microdart Patches?
They're two different formats for two different stages. Hydrocolloid is a soft, gel-forming material that covers a surfaced blemish and creates a water-resistant barrier. Microdarts are fine dissolving points on the underside of the patch, made for the early bump you can feel before it surfaces. CLERIVY makes both so you can match the patch to the stage of the spot.
Can I Use Both Patches?
Yes. They're made for different stages, not for competing uses. Use the Microdart Spot Patch on an early bump you can feel, and the Hydrocolloid Pimple Patch on a spot that's already surfaced. If you've got both kinds at once, use each format on the spot that matches its stage.
