How to Choose Between 10mm and 12mm

You don't have to choose. Every pack of the CLERIVY Hydrocolloid Pimple Patch comes with both sizes, 10 mm and 12 mm, split evenly: 15 and 15 in the 30 count, 36 and 36 in the 72 count, 48 and 48 in the 96 count. Just pick whichever patch covers the blemish completely, with a little room to spare around the edges.

Quick Facts

Wear time

4–8 hours, or until the patch turns opaque

Size rule

The patch should cover the whole blemish with a small margin

Why Does Every Pack Include Two Sizes?

A blemish on the side of your nose and one in the middle of your cheek are rarely the same size. Too small a patch leaves part of the spot uncovered. Too large a patch puts more adhesive than you need on the surrounding skin, where it's easier to catch and lift over the course of the day.

So CLERIVY packs both diameters together, half and half, instead of selling each size on its own. However your week goes, the right size is already in the box. You're not stretching one size over every spot.

What Sizes Are Included in Each Pack?

Every pack has two sizes, 10 mm and 12 mm, in an even split:

30

72 count

36

96 count

48

The split stays the same at every count: half 10 mm, half 12 mm. You'll find this same table in the product page FAQ. Same question, same answer, wherever you run into it.

How Do I Know Which Size to Use?

Go by coverage, not by habit. The patch should cover the whole blemish with a little margin, so the translucent hydrocolloid sits flat and the water-resistant barrier closes over the spot instead of stopping at its edge. If a spot falls right between the two sizes, size up. Full coverage with room to spare beats an exact fit.

Location can help you reach for the likely size faster. The 10 mm tends to suit the tighter zones of the face, like the chin and around the nose, while the 12 mm gives you more useful coverage on open areas like the cheeks and forehead. Treat that as a starting point, not a rule. The blemish decides the size, not where it shows up.

When Is Size Not the Answer?

Two sizes cover most surfaced spots, but not every situation.

  • A spot wider than 12 mm. A hydrocolloid patch is made for a single surfaced blemish. If the area is wider than the largest patch in the pack, one patch can't cover it completely, and full coverage is the whole point.

  • Skin that's wounded or damaged. The on-pack caution applies at every size: don't use the patch on wounded or damaged skin.

  • The bump you can feel but can't see. That's a stage question, not a size question. For the early bump, CLERIVY makes the Microdart Spot Patch, which comes in a single 13.5 mm size because the format is different, not just the diameter.

Which Count Should I Buy?

Use the CLERIVY Hydrocolloid Pimple Patch on a surfaced blemish you want to keep covered. Every pack includes both sizes, in 30, 72, or 96 count. The 30 count is the natural starting point if you want to see how the two sizes fit your face. The 72 and 96 counts make more sense once patches are a regular part of your routine, or once the pack stops being yours alone.

Whichever count you go with, the wear direction doesn't change: leave the patch on for 4 to 8 hours, or until it turns opaque.
